Scott Gronert received the 2016 American Chemical Society-VA Section Distinguished Research Award. Dr. Gronert has made significant contributions to understanding the fundamentals of organic reaction mechanisms in the gas phase, and applying this knowledge to developing tools to study free radical damage to proteins in animal models and clinical samples.
