CrawleyDr. Charlene D Crawley will be honored by Minority Access Inc. as a National Role Model for her exemplary work as a mentor, advisor, and advocate for students pursuing a variety of careers in the natural and health sciences.

On September 30, 2017, Dr. Crawley will be honored at the 18th Annual Minority Access Inc National Role Models Conference   The conference's aim is to identify inspirational role models in various categories to inspire others to emulate them, and thereby increase the pool of scholars and professionals who will find cures for illnesses or solve technological problems or address social disparities in society.  In fact the review team found Dr. Crawley's work to be so impressive that they amended a segment of the conference structure so that her work, along with a few other role models like her, could be highlighted in a special conference session. More information about the Role Models Project can be found at the link http://minorityaccess.org/role.html.
