Advising Resources

Can I withdraw from a lecture and stay in the lab?
Yes, students are allowed to withdraw from a lecture and stay enrolled in its associated lab during the week immediately preceding the withdrawal deadline.
When should I meet with my advisor?
Advising is mandatory in the chemistry major. You must meet with your advisor at least twice per year - once each fall and spring semester.
What is a medical leave of absence?
What do I do if the add/drop deadline has passed and I need more credits?
You can enroll in miniterm classes, or any of the BUSN 16X classes.
What do I do if I have a hold on my account?
To determine if you have a hold on your account, visit eServices. To get a hold removed, contact the department that placed the hold and make arrangements to have it removed. If a hold prevents dropping or withdrawing from courses, contact the Office of the University Registrar at rar@vcu.edu to request a drop or withdrawal.
